Our Story

Badt and Co was founded in 2015, with the vision to bring the essence of the Mediterranean culture to Singapore. Over the years, our company has found its place in the Lion City, where endless summer combines perfectly with a pair of espadrilles.

In 2023, Badt and Co becomes Bastide Colombe.

Bastide in French designates a traditional country mansion in the South of France, immersed in Mediterranean landscapes, surrounded by wild and exquisite nature.

Colombe is the French word for dove. It is the universal symbol for freedom and love.

The combination of Bastide and Colombe resonates perfectly with the values of our brand, both casual and sophisticated, celebrating the love and passion for tradition and handcrafted techniques, and the freedom of the artist inspired by endless summer.

Our ambition is to bring you effortless chic inspiration with Mediterranean vibes, through high quality, great fitting and extraordinary espadrilles designs.

We have the privilege to partner with one of the most emblematic atelier houses in Spain, Gaimo, a worldwide renowned espadrille’s brands. The art of their espadrilles making dates back to 1978, and it employs whole families that have mastered the making of these versatile and beautiful shoes.
